 The Santa Monica Pier is located in Santa Monica, CA. The Pier offers a wide variety of activities that will keep you and your honey occupied for hours. The Santa Monica Pier Aquarium is a great choice to stop by while you are on The Pier. The Aquarium is located right below the Carousel. There are a total of 8 different exhibits to observe and enjoy, including 3 touch tanks that allow you to get up close and personal with more than 30 different species of marine life. Another place to visit while on The Pier is The Playland Arcade. This attraction features over 200 arcade games, from the newer titles to traditional favorites, such as Pac Man, Air Hockey and Pinball. Hanging out at the arcade will make you feel like kids again.
An activity you might want to try is fishing. If you’re looking for a relaxing activity, grab your fishing gear and head out to The Pier. It’s a great activity to enjoy on a date, especially the first. While you might not catch anything, you will definitely have plenty of time to talk and get to know each other. The best spots for fishing can be found towards the end of the Pier. Pacific Park is a small amusement park located on the pier with something for everyone. There are approximately a dozen rides in total, including a steel rollercoaster and the iconic ferris wheel – these provide a spectacular view of the Pacific California Coast. You can park your car at the Pier lot, but if you want to save a little cash and don’t mind the walk, park your car at the Santa Monica Mall structure (located 2 blocks away on Colorado & 2nd). If you arrive in the day (8am to 5pm), you can park for 3 hours at no cost; in the evening (5pm to 2am), there’s a $3 flat rate. Activity costs vary where on The Pier you visit.

 Nothing can be truly like the canals of Venice, but you can come close. If you want to spend a romantic day or evening with your loved one, this one-hour cruise on Alamitos Bay could be just what you are looking for. Floating and drifing through this bay is a lovely way to spend time with your sweetheart. It most definitely leaves more of a lasting impression than a traditional dinner and a movie date. Bring along with you a good bottle of wine, or perhaps a hot chocolate if it's a brisk night. A basket of bread, salami and cheese are provided on the ride and your bottle of wine would perfectly complement these Italian foods. If you are lucky enough you will get to ride with a crooning gondolier. If you would rather use some romantic music of your own to set the mood, a cassette player is available to take on board. The rower can be quite a character, entertaining you and your guest with songs and jokes. This also makes a great goup date if your friends want to bring along their dates.
